Bhagavad Gita As It Is – The Eternal Wisdom
The Bhagavad Gita As It Is, translated and explained by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, presents Lord Krishna’s teachings in their purest form, without speculative interpretations. Spoken on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, the Bhagavad Gita is a divine conversation between Lord Krishna and Arjuna, addressing the eternal truths of life, the nature of the soul, duty, devotion, and liberation. It is the essence of Vedic wisdom, guiding humanity toward the ultimate goal—pure love of God (Krishna-prema).
The Gita consists of 18 chapters and 700 verses, systematically explaining different paths of yoga—karma-yoga (action in devotion), jnana-yoga (knowledge), and bhakti-yoga (devotional service). Krishna declares bhakti-yoga as the highest path, urging all living beings to surrender unto Him:
“Sarva-dharmān parityajya mām ekaṁ śaraṇaṁ vraja” (18.66) – “Abandon all varieties of religion and surrender unto Me.”
